The midday light pounced ferociously on the parched ground through clouds of blue-violet radiation. The heat scorched the earth, leaving it filled with deathly silence and desolation. On the land under the sky, apart from the grayish-yellow Gobi Desert and the arcs of distant mountains, only a few towering dry tree trunks and towns that have been abandoned for nearly a hundred years can be seen here and there. This is the Great Wilderness. Here, it is both hell and heaven. What is heaven? When you can destroy this world unscrupulously, then this world is your paradise.
