Farewell to the Gloomy Waterweeds

Abandoned by her father at birth, she grows up alone with her mentally ill mother, enduring her maternal grandparents’ cutting remarks and the strange looks of those around her. She works several odd jobs just to scrape by. The struggle to survive makes her feel like a patch of shadowy seaweed growing in the depths of the ocean, forever hidden from the sun. No! Her classmates, teachers, the owner of the company where she works part-time, and her coworkers at the bar all seem to be hiding secrets they can’t afford to reveal, pushing her into an invisible whirlpool. One path leads to the wonderful university life she struggled so hard to attain. The other would lift the layers of deception and clear the name of the “father” who abandoned her and whom she hates.
