Fork in the Road

Chance is like a small switchman. As long as he pulls the switch at an important fork, the train will take a completely different path. It determines the direction of history. It can be said that history does not actually need the kind of heroes who come from the future and "turn the tide" to change the pace of history in traditional fictional or fantasy novels. Instead, it only needs a slight push in certain key places, and it will go the other way according to its own laws of progress.
