Night Songs of the Glorious Tang

I’m sorry for leaving you without an update for so long. Some readers have asked whether I’m going to abandon this novel. The answer is no. Although I really haven’t been in the right frame of mind, I’ll do my best to finish it. After finishing Winding Silk, my health took a turn for the worse, mainly because spending so long sitting in front of the computer gave me severe cervical spondylosis. Between work and my health, I wrote and stopped repeatedly on Flourishing Tang. The longer I went without writing, the harder it became to find my rhythm. Flourishing Tang is a deeply oppressive story, and getting caught up in it made my mood grow dark. For a while, I really did want to get away from it. But deep down, I couldn’t bear to let it go. I still can’t say when I’ll finish it. All I can say is that I won’t abandon it, and I’ll do my best to get back on track. So lately I’ve been writing a lighthearted, fluffy novel, Reborn: Childhood Sweethearts, to lift my spirits and rediscover the joy of writing. It’s being posted under the book ID of an old collection of comments I made. I didn’t create a new book ID because I don’t want to promote it. It’s purely a change of pace, and I can’t promise regular updates. I’m just letting my readers know what I’ve been up to lately. Maybe I’ll finish it before returning to Flourishing Tang, or maybe I’ll find the motivation to write Flourishing Tang before I finish it.
