In Search of the Song Dynasty

[Abandoned pit, enter at your own risk] I’m sorry, everyone. I never wanted things to turn out this way. I fell ill just as I started writing this book, and then the updates stopped for two whole months. I missed the new-book ranking period, as well as a whole series of recommendations. By the time I recovered, it was already the new year. I’d more or less forgotten all the historical research, worldbuilding, characters, and foreshadowing I’d prepared. I even tried reviewing everything before continuing, and I already have another forty or fifty thousand words drafted. But no matter what I do, I can’t recapture how it felt at the beginning. I can’t find that rhythm or atmosphere anymore. What I write feels awkward and incoherent. It’s just bad. So I have no choice but to pull the plug. I owe you all one. I’ll find time in the future to study the history of the Song dynasty properly, come up with a good story from scratch, and write it. At least I’d only posted fifty thousand words of this book, so readers weren’t too invested, and I hadn’t even put it behind a paywall... Finally, my most sincere apologies to you all!!!
