The Bad Review Soul Summoner

If you linger in the world of the living after you die, who will call you?

Not the King of Hell, but a customer service agent at an outsourced company.

"Hello, Mr. Chen Kai. You've been lingering for three days, so it's time to move on according to procedure. Are you satisfied with our soul-guiding service? If you are, please give us five stars. If not... sorry, our appeals channel is under maintenance."

Lin Xiaoman works in this line of business. He's a trainee soul guide, weighed down by KPIs, apologizing to ghosts every day, mistaken for a fraud by the living, and constantly on guard against the City God Bureau shutting down the company.

His one advantage is that he can see the exact time of everyone's death, down to the second. That ability landed him his first big client, and also let him see a number he never should have seen.
