This Dream Is Way Too Real

If you could control your dreams with your conscious mind, what would you do in them?

Su Zheng gazed at the stars. Parasitized by a slime mold mother hundreds of light-years away, his consciousness had crossed over to an unfamiliar planet.

The good news: he could live forever.

The bad news: the mother was too weak to devour anything but vines and grass.

And it would take two thousand years to grow strong?

The good news was that he could project the consciousness of people from Earth into the offspring, so he'd have tireless worker fungi that couldn't die.

The bad news was that these workers were a little weird.

“Stop devouring those mutant rats!”

“Esteemed leader, I just wanted to make a female character.”

“Why did you devour those glowing leeches?”

“My skin will get smoother and softer.”

Su Zheng stared speechlessly at these little darlings.

How are you the Fourth Calamity?
