Mastering the Worlds

The great affairs of the world divide after long unity, and unite after long division. Across the vast world, rival states contend, joining forces for profit or breaking apart in conflict. Barriers rise and routes are cut off; alliances are formed while weapons are kept at the ready. The tide of events shifts and turns, never remaining one way for long. And one day, a man will be stranded in a savage wasteland, on the brink of death before escaping calamity. He will endure turmoil on the frontier and witness the suffering of the people. Amid the upheaval of division and unity, his own rise and fall will reflect the changing fortunes of the four seas. His life is as insignificant as a blade of grass, yet his resolve remains unbroken. Swept along by the currents of a chaotic age, he may one day rise with the tide and take his place in the great game of a world divided and reunited.
