Deep Space Salvager

Zhou Che is an off-the-books deep-space salvage worker for a corporation, sent into decommissioned starships to haul out anything still worth selling. The rules are clear: salvage cargo, not bodies, and never read the crew logs. In the hold of the White Gull, he finds a black box that is still ticking. It doesn't record accidents. It records the name of the ship the company plans to erase next. The first name on the list is his own salvage vessel.
