I Am the Sage Ying Zheng

His Majesty, the Sage Ying Zheng is a short historical novel written by Yue Longtian, who has twenty years of writing experience. The novel is only 70,000 words long, and the author's dream is to see it adapted into an epic film. With concise, grand prose and a first-person perspective, Yue Longtian recounts Ying Zheng's life from his coming-of-age ceremony at twenty to his death at forty-nine, after mistakenly eating a poisonous fruit while on an inspection tour. Historical research suggests that the plot and background presented in His Majesty, the Sage Ying Zheng are highly accurate. The book is based on historical texts such as the Mount Yi Inscription and the Langya Inscription, depicting Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng as an emperor without precedent or successor. The protagonist Ying Zheng portrayed in the book is the founder of the commandery-county system, Qin Shi Huang, as he has been represented more faithfully to history and truth than ever before.
