Why Is the Revered Daoist Heir So Righteous It Seems Almost Wicked?

Anti-conventional / Righteous to a terrifying degree / Words become law / Lu Xuan, the Daoist heir of the Xuantian Sect, is bound to the "Righteousness System." The System says: You must become the most "righteous" person in the cultivation world. But the System's idea of "righteous" isn't rigid adherence to rules, playing it safe, or being a kindly do-gooder. It means being utterly pure, utterly uncompromising, and utterly indifferent to human feeling: so righteous that the wicked grind their teeth, the good question their own sanity, and everyone else can only curse, "This guy is righteous to a terrifying degree." Outer Sect disciple Zhao Qi is caught practicing a forbidden art, and the law-enforcement elder wants to cripple his cultivation. But Lu Xuan reveals the truth in front of everyone: the forbidden art was originally called the Spirit-Deliverance Formula, and Zhao Qi was corrupted by baleful energy forced into him by remnants of the All-Sex Cult. Lu Xuan saves Zhao Qi, cripples the culprit, stuffs him in a sack, and sends him back to the All-Sex Cult with a note attached: "Your disciple. Please deal with him yourselves." The All-Sex Cult's leader is so furious he smashes three tables, yet the cultivation world can't find a single fault in what Lu Xuan did. System notifications flood the screen: [Righteousness +200. Bonus rewards doubled. Assessment: Righteous to a terrifying degree.] From then on, three Foundation Establishment elders of the All-Sex Cult sneak in for revenge. Lu Xuan's conditions are simple: no killing, no entering the sect, no letting the secret out, and make sure they never dare come back. The System unlocks one level after another: Words Become Law, Righteous Sword Intent, Heaven and Earth Resonance, Extremes of Righteousness Give Rise to Change... When his Righteousness reaches its ultimate level, he will rewrite the rules and define good and evil. Righteousness taken to its extreme becomes the extraordinary. The extraordinary taken to its extreme becomes the Dao. The Dao taken to its extreme... becomes me!
