The Order Archivist

The physical laws, social conventions, and rules of fate in this world are not absolutely stable. Every accident, regret, misalignment, or injustice creates tiny fissures in the world’s rules, from which “Order Residue” falls away. Ordinary people can never sense this residue, but a tiny minority known as “Gap Seers” can see it, touch it, and collect it. Meanwhile, “Order Thieves,” predators who operate in the gray areas, frantically harvest the residue, trading other people’s regrets and suffering for a smoother life of their own. When there are too many loopholes and too much residue is stolen, the world develops “Order Collapse Points”: frequent bizarre accidents, unsolvable wrongful cases, and inexplicable natural and man-made disasters. The secret profession of Order Scavenger belongs to those who maintain order in the cracks between worlds. They have no power to defy Heaven and Earth and no control over life or death. They simply gather scattered Order Residue, seal loopholes in the rules, and recover stolen balance, seeking justice for countless lives that have been altered and reclaiming the fairness that should belong to ordinary people.
