Once, We Walked Together

Jiang Ming, a top-tier author of historical web novels, became one of the first “guinea pigs” in the “HAI” experiment because of his unusual brain structure. He transmigrates into the body of Marquis Yi of Zeng, a free-spirited warlord from the Warring States period. He puts together an all-female song and dance troupe and tours the various states, only to be forced into the most dangerous secret mission Chu has to offer. Isn’t this exactly the plot of a power fantasy? But HAI refuses to give him any golden finger. It says, “Artificial intelligence is for amateurs. I’m human intelligence.” Huh? Why does that sound kind of touching? When the bronze bells were finally installed and the tomb doors closed, the women who had spent half their lives singing and dancing for him were sent into the pitch-black tomb passage. Jiang Ming, too, never returned to the present. As Marquis Yi of Zeng, he lived on 2,500 years in the past.
