Anime Crossover: Starting with the Cthulhu Mythos

Balo carries the Chaos Origin fragment Azathoth through countless dimensions, making the awe and fear of all living beings his source of faith as he steadily ascends to the throne of the Chaos God. He watches the conflicts of the world with detached indifference, neither seeking to save it nor slaughtering its inhabitants of his own accord. Using a faint glimmer of chaos to create strange phenomena and offering only a few vague words, he lets the inhabitants of each world fill in the gaps based on their own understanding, hailing him as a reclusive master who commands the Great Dao of the Origin. From the celestial sea miracle at a Go tournament to the curse-ridden streets of Tokyo, he travels from place to place, harvesting faith through major events. The disturbance caused by his power triggers rejection from the world. Whenever enough faith has accumulated, he tears through dimensions and heads for the next world. As all beings weave myths around him, faith springs forth on its own, and a path to godhood paved with chaos slowly unfolds. This story and its characters are entirely fictional.
