The Lotus Immortal's Lie-Flat Life

A ten-thousand-year-old lotus in Cangyuan Pool takes human form overnight and names herself Fu Sheng. She asks for little: to bask in the sun, sample every delicacy in the Nine Heavens, and lie flat in peace. But her uniquely gifted spiritual roots and the primordial lotus power within her make her the target of covetous gods and immortals. As soon as she takes human form, she is dragged off to meet Xuan Min, an immortal venerable with immense power and a calculating mind who rules the Nine Heavens. Rumor has it that Xuan Min is cold and ruthless, can outwit the Three Realms, and is unmatched in beauty throughout the heavens. He has never shown the slightest weakness. Fu Sheng only wants to keep her distance, but time and again she stumbles into his schemes. While other cultivators struggle desperately to improve their cultivation, Fu Sheng thinks only of eating well and avoiding trouble. Push her too far, though, and she blows up in a temper. One scheme after another unfolds among the gods and immortals, while dangers in secret realms and long-buried secrets come to light. The lotus immortal, who only wanted to lie flat and survive, is forced into the conflicts of the Three Realms. The scheming immortal venerable, who plans several moves ahead, develops an obsession unlike any he has ever known, and reserves it for this temperamental, food-loving lotus.
