Building a City with Code

Su Yanfei is notorious in the industry for his short temper. His code is flawless, but he has little patience for social niceties. He takes on a smart-renewal project for the old city, expecting an ordinary technical implementation, only to cross paths with Lu Qishen, the architecture world’s most talked-about designer. Lu Qishen is strikingly handsome, aloof, and hard-edged. He believes in order in architectural spaces and strongly opposes technology meddling too much in human-centered design. At their first project meeting, the two clash over everything from design philosophy to practical details, each refusing to give an inch. One builds virtual logic with code; the other shapes real spaces from steel and concrete. Their ideas are at odds, yet they have no choice but to work together. Workplace crises come one after another: project flaws, interference from rivals, and old grudges all surface in turn.
