The Beggar of Heaven

"Heavens!!! Are you really going to drive me to utter ruin?" Su Qier howled at the sky. The only response from the heavens was a series of crashing thunderbolts. Beneath the rumbling sky screen, countless chains of order descended and bound him tight. "I rose from being a beggar to where I am now, and I've always believed that heaven has its way, and beggars have theirs. I begged you countless times, but you never showed me mercy or answered me. Now you want to take everything from me? You deserve to die!!!" The heavens remained as cold and indifferent as a god, seemingly mocking Su Qier's rage. The tightening chains of order slid past his eyes, each one displaying a part of his life: the humiliation of begging as a child, his desperate cries for heaven's help as a boy... The remnant souls of countless loved ones appeared on the chains, wailing. Then Su Qier heard heaven's answer in his ears. "Beggars are nothing but heaven's fodder!!!" Su Qier strained with all his might and snapped the chains, then clenched his fist and swung it at the heavens...
