I Died Saving the Campus Beauty, and She Became a Yandere, Dug Up My Grave, and Proposed

I died. I’d been trying to save the campus belle who was always competing with me for first place. A Ghost King-class White Mist Ghost had smashed my heart with one claw. When I opened my eyes again, I was lying in the middle of a coffin. Lin Qingxu was digging through the dirt with a shovel, one scoop at a time, before prying open my coffin. She looked down at me, her eyes rimmed with red, the corner of her mouth curling into a lovestruck smile. “Lin Ye, from now on, you’re my contracted spirit. We’ll be together forever. I want to marry you.” Me: “...Are you crazy?” She couldn’t hear me. She started talking to my corpse, asking why I’d saved her and saying that I belonged to her now. As she spoke, she laughed, and as she laughed, she cried. I lay there, unable to move, with nothing to do but listen. Later, I found out that she’d ruined her own S-rank spirit to keep me by her side, then used a forbidden technique to refine my corpse into her contracted spirit. The Lu family wanted to kill her, and the Association wanted to study me, so she fled with me. By day, she carried me on her back while fighting the weird. At night, she held me as she slept. Every now and then, she’d lean close to my ear and say, “Lu Chen, you still haven’t paid me back for taking first place.” As I lay in my corpse, I was reborn. Now, I can absorb ghostly energy whenever I kill the weird, growing stronger by the day. Until one day, the Ghost King descended, and the world stood on the brink of destruction. Lin Qingxu became a legend in one battle, with her husband made of corpses at her side! From then on, the whole world was stunned. A dead man and a madwoman took down the Ghost King? “Lu Chen, you looked at that female ghost three times today.” Me: “...I was counting her tentacles.” Her: “Why were you counting her tentacles? Are you into tentacles?” Me: “...”
