The Eternal Day Pill Calamity

At the end of the Tianyuan Era, the lunar realms of the heavens collapsed, and the Night Dao vanished completely. An eternal sun hung in the sky, its blazing light spilling across millions of miles. Dawn and dusk, day and night, and the turning of the seasons were no more. The scorching sun that had not set for millions of years did not shine life upon the world. It was instead the source of an apocalyptic calamity, as the Pill Tribulation consumed all things. Endless pure-yang light seeped into everything under heaven, twisting mountains and rivers and overturning the foundations of living beings. Ordinary mortals who bathed too long in the divine light of eternal day had their blood and essence burned away by its savage yang energy, their souls withering until they turned to drifting ash. Plants mutated, mountains and rivers scorched, and the earth's veins overflowed with dryness. The world's turbid, yin, and void energies vanished, leaving behind nothing but the most extreme pure-yang scorching fire. In the past, the orthodox teachings of the Daoist sects and the cultivation arts of the Hundred Schools emphasized balancing yin and yang, harmonizing water and fire, and cultivating both body and soul. But when eternal day arrived, the balance of yin and yang was shattered. The orthodox path of alchemy was severed, and no perfect path of cultivation remained. The surviving human cultivators were forced to cultivate against the Dao. Using incomplete alchemical methods to resist the erosion of eternal sunlight, they faced the desperate inferno of a world consumed by pure yang, defying heaven to establish their foundations, refining pills against the natural order, and weathering tribulations with their own bodies.
