The Great Age of Rusted Bones

• Setting: The old civilization was wiped out in a cataclysm known as the “Heavenfall.” The surface was blanketed in radioactive dust and mutated creatures, while survivors huddled in scattered refuge cities, making a living by scavenging, trading, and raiding. • Core premise: “Mechs” left behind by the old era are the most valuable resource in the wasteland. Mechs run on “cores”; once a core goes dark, a mech is nothing but scrap metal. Those able to repair cores are known as “forgemasters.” • Protagonist: Lu Chen, a mech engineer from the old era. During an experimental accident, his consciousness transmigrated to the Wasteland Era, Year 217. He woke up inside the cockpit of a half-scrapped civilian mech. • Core conflict: Lu Chen discovers that mech technology in the wasteland has severely regressed, and many basic principles from the old era are treated as “forbidden knowledge.” The complete engineering system in his mind is both his trump card for survival and the source of the danger that could get him killed.
