• Setting: The old civilization was wiped out in a cataclysm known as the “Heavenfall.” The surface was blanketed in radioactive dust and mutated creatures, while survivors huddled in scattered refuge cities, making a living by scavenging, trading, and raiding. • Core premise: “Mechs” left behind by the old era are the most valuable resource in the wasteland. Mechs run on “cores”; once a core goes dark, a mech is nothing but scrap metal. Those able to repair cores are known as “forgemasters.” •
