Ling Gao Dao Xuan, Regrets Slowly Fade

In a shattered world of cultivation where the laws are incomplete and the highest attainable realm is only Golden Core, humans and demons live in harmony, and love and peace abound. But in the third year of Tianwu (1005), countless cracks suddenly split open in the sky. Countless immortal abodes and grotto-heavens fell from them, striking the ground and forming countless secret realms. Humans and demons alike saw a hope of becoming immortals, and countless Golden Core cultivators ventured forth, chasing the elusive promise of ascension. The countless cultivation methods found within also gave rise to countless sects, including the demon race. Most demons were outcasts because their cultivation methods were too cruel. This farce dragged on for 300 years. Then, in 1305, the human emperor of the time, Song Tianhong, became an “immortal”! His lifespan soared from 500 years to 1,500, and at last he brought stability to a world shattered by the pursuit of immortality. Everyone who opposed him was put to the sword, and an Immortal Dynasty shared by humans and demons was established. Our story begins in 1605. The cultivation system consists of spiritual cultivation, body cultivation, Dao cultivation, and demonic cultivation. Spiritual cultivation has the realms of Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and Spirit Transformation. Body cultivation has four layers: Blood Refining, Skin Refining, Flesh Refining, and Bone Refining. Dao cultivation also has four layers: Dao Qi, Dao Spirit, Dao Resonance, and Dao Law. The demonic cultivation system is too broad to define: anyone who falls into demonic ways counts as a demonic cultivator. True demonic cultivation, however, is divided into blood cultivation and baleful cultivation. Blood cultivators train using essence blood, skin, flesh, and bones, while baleful cultivators train using the baleful energy produced by killing. Blood cultivation has four realms: Bloodskin, Blood Transformation, Blood Demon, and Blood Transformation. Baleful cultivation has four realms: Baleful Seal, Baleful Spirit, Baleful Body, and Baleful Fiend.
