The Supreme Way of Caution: Starting with Monthly Settlements

I'm going to take it one step at a time, one step at a time, and lie low until I become the strongest. I'm going to be a Martial God!

Entering through the humble gate, he hides like a dragon beneath the waters.

After a hundred days, his bones grow stronger.

He conceals his aura and keeps his edge hidden, unknown to others.

He swallows his words and endures, drawing no hatred even from ghosts.

On the first day of each month, the cinnabar pill grows warm.

By the third watch, his energy flows in a steady stream.

One day, he will rise through the clouds and scale the highest peak,

while all the heavens bow their heads to behold the river's view.

(There's already a million-character, high-quality work in this same genre. Feel free to jump in!)
