Fragments of the Star Raft

On the night of the eighth day of the fourth month in the nineteenth year of Yongle, lightning and fire struck the Three Halls. Jiang Buzhi, a clepsydra specialist at the Imperial Astronomical Bureau, burst into the home of Shen Shouzhuo, an expert in yin and yang, and handed him half of a "Star-Sighting Chart." He left behind three words: "Stars are not stars," "Qinghe," and "Head south." Then he shut the door behind him and lured away the pursuers. That night, Shen Shouzhuo was taken away by agents of the Eastern Depot. His son, Shen Yanzhou, escaped over the wall with his inkstone case.
