What Capitalist? Call Me a Dragon Merchant

(D&D-inspired + Dragon Fiction)

"Oh, sir, for just two gold coins, you can take home this dragon scale." Sororen's voice rang out, dripping with temptation.

It loved the sound of shiny gold coins hitting the ground. But what it loved even more was turning those coins into greater profits and using them to strengthen itself.

"If you agree to work for a dragon, your share of the profits will multiply. In ten years, it'll be twice as much, or even more." Sororen licked its lips, its eyes glinting with a strange light.

"Gold coins can't see, but you can."

"Can't reach an agreement? Heh. My super intelligence tells me it's time to use my super strength!"

Looking at the red dragon, its golden scales shining so brightly they could blind anyone, Sororen grinned.

"Why did I spend money trading with you? To get stronger! Now I'm stronger! Why would I still spend money?!"

"Is he really a red dragon?! He's practically a demon!"

Faced with the accusation, Sororen cleared its throat.

"Please call me a dragon merchant."
