The Story of the Thief

Robber Zhi, the younger brother of Lu Shishi Liu Xiahui, was reduced to a quarry slave at the age of fifteen due to family infighting. In the dark stone prison, he studied under the guidance of a blind locksmith, a dove tamer, a swordsmith and a disguised boy, and learned the five thieves' techniques of "lock, smoke, Tao, bird, and face". He led a crowd to riot and escaped, and entered Mount Tai to establish a righteous bandit camp. He established the nine laws of "thiefs also have their own ways, and the way is not to steal people's hearts." The righteous pirate camp robbed official grain, burned slave records, and distributed grain in the wild. He gathered a crowd of three thousand people and formed a sharp confrontation between two philosophies of survival with his brother Liu Xiahui. However, Confucian scholars slandered his name with rumors of "eating human liver". The Allied Forces of the Three Kingdoms encircled and suppressed him, and the righteous bandit camp was destroyed overnight. In a desperate situation, Thief Zhi broke into the Ancestral Temple of Lu alone, hid at the altar for three days and nights, and finally read the "Book of Untouchables" with his broken body in public, enumerating the temple's sins, and returned the charge of "the biggest thief in the world" to the princes. An arrow pierced his heart, and he died in the fire. Before the ashes cool down, the wooden tablets have been scattered among the nations. A name designated by history as a "big thief" has become an immortal fire in the mouths of countless despicable people.
