Xiangxi Air Battle

The novel is set against the background of the Battle of Xiangxi, the last battle of the Anti-Japanese War, and focuses on the coordinated operations of the Chinese and American air forces. It tells the story of Chen Yunfei, a student at Tsinghua University, who grew up to be a pilot. He fought side by side with American instructor Walker and intelligence agent Ling Lan to stop the Japanese army above Zhijiang. Through key battles such as the Wuyang bombing, the battle for Eagle-shaped Mountain, and the defense of Yankoupu, the decisive role of air power and the cruelty of war are demonstrated. Amid the sacrifices of his comrades and the intertwined emotions, the protagonist has gone through many hardships and witnessed the historical transition of the Chinese army from strategic defense to counterattack. In the end, Japan surrendered, and the protagonist went to the United States to further his studies with hope and remembrance, implying the rebirth of the nation and the vision of peace.
