I once thought that the runway was paved with sweat. Later I realized that every meter is measured with blood and bones. From the time I first set foot on a plastic track at the age of five to standing on top of the world at the age of twenty-seven, I have been running and falling on this road for twenty-two years. They say I am a genius, the light of Asia, and a challenger to the limits of mankind. Only I know that I am not running, I am escaping. Escape from that rainy night, escape from the sound of gunfire, escape from the self that is always at the age of nineteen.
