Underworld: Awakening at the Ferry Crossing of the River Styx

Su Ye died violently and entered the underworld before his allotted lifespan was over.

He only wanted to survive in Bonefall City. But a ghost constable’s token, a Netherworld talisman seal, and a body that should not have died propelled him into the deepest maelstrom of the underworld.

During the Bone Tower trial, he saw how the first six generations of Netherworld Dao Bodies had ended:

The first set himself on fire, the second was devoured, the third vanished, the fourth went mad, the fifth took his own life, and the sixth was refined into a lamp.

The last words of all six generations were the same: “Beware of Nine.”

Su Ye refused to believe in fate. He slaughtered Shadow Fiends, wiped out three gangs, and rose to become the city lord. From a ghost marshal of the Nether River to the ruler of all Ten Halls, he stood at the edge of the Ninefold Abyss when the Demon Emperor’s voice seeped out from within the seal:

“Your Dao Body was cultivated for the sole purpose of releasing me.”

Su Ye smiled. “Then I’d like to see who ends up whose sacrifice.”

From the Nether River crossing to the three thousand worlds, from an ordinary ghost to one who merges with the Dao.

The underworld was never the destination.

It was only the beginning of everything.
