"The Record of Demons Conquered by Heavenly Masters" is a feature-length oriental mythology spanning nine seasons. It centers on Zhong Kui, Liu Hanyan, and Wang Fuqu, and connects five ghosts and three mounts to form the protagonist team. It tells the story of their legendary journey from being slayers of demons on earth to guardians of all heavens and realms. The whole book begins with Zhong Kui going out to slay demons, and goes through major chapters such as the Thirteen Tribulations Trial, the repair of the cracks in the heaven, the elimination of the obsession of the inner demon, the re-formulation and reform of the heaven's rules, and the invasion of demons from outside the territory. Jiuying slays demons and protects the people along the way. From the initial pursuit of ghosts in the world, he gradually rises to the level of fixing the way of heaven, fixing the rules of gods, and resisting outside the realm. Finally, in the final decisive battle, he kills the Lord of Chaos, Taichu Demon Lord, and returns to seclusion after success, leaving his legacy to future generations. The work is based on traditional Chinese myths and folklore, integrating gods and ghosts from ancient books such as "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", "The Romance of the Gods" and "Sou Shen Ji", as well as a large number of original characters and unit stories. Each volume begins with a fourteen-character antithetical volume title, accompanied by an original seven-character rhymed poem, with a neat structure.
