The Wind Blows, the Demon Is Unbound

I will use the ancient martial arts ranks of Bright Realm, Shadow Realm, Transformation Realm, and Core Realm to help readers gauge the combat strength of the characters in this book. The corresponding ranks for demons are Demon Beast, Demon General, Demon Marshal, and Demon Ancestor; for witches, Witch Soldier, Witch Spirit, Great Witch, and Ancestral Witch. The Bright and Shadow Realms each have ten levels, while the Transformation Realm and above have no sublevels. This is a mid-martial-arts setting.

This book has two protagonists, but their roles will be somewhat downplayed, since a large number of mythological and historical figures will appear. These figures may appear in very different guises from the ones you expect. Their portrayals may differ from the deep-rooted impressions many readers have of certain mythological or historical figures, and may shatter cherished images of them. All I can say is, I'm sorry.

The book will feature many epic battles, military strategy, and scenes of war to set the atmosphere.

There are no idiots in this book! No plans that unfold without a hitch from beginning to end, only constant twists and clashes of human nature. Readers who like power fantasies where the protagonist steamrolls everything may not enjoy it.

This isn't a story about the protagonist fighting monsters and leveling up, and there won't be much about the protagonist's personal journey of leveling up either. The author isn't talented enough to write that kind of slow-burn, methodical story.

I hope my work is like a cup of wine: not a strong liquor to be gulped down for instant gratification, but a mellow wine you can savor a little after drinking.
