Forensic Medicine for Every Field: Tracking Killers Through the Evidence

Gao Yanting has a background in every branch of forensic medicine. From nameless bones to the dead of wealthy families, whether a death was accidental or murder, he never misses a detail. When an unidentified body is found in the wilderness, he uses soil composition to pinpoint the original crime scene and insect remains to calculate the time of death with precision; In a bizarre bombing, he uses chemistry to unravel an arsonist’s scheme and physical trajectories to reconstruct the body’s position before the explosion; In a string of locked-room murders, he deduces the killer’s characteristics from genetic evidence and deciphers every mathematical code left behind. Others call him a forensic genius by nature, but only he knows the truth: For eight years, he has chased a shadow across the length and breadth of his country and beyond. A killer who has committed more than twenty murders and still remains at large has left behind a telltale mark once again. This time, his scalpel will cut through the fog and expose the person lurking in the shadows.
