Sherlock Holmes: The Parchment of 221B Baker Street

Watson discovers something terrifying: every case note he writes comes true three days later. Holmes says, “Doctor, you’re writing prophecies.” But Watson is even more afraid of another question: Who is writing Watson? Watson isn’t “recording” Holmes’s detective stories. Every word he writes becomes reality three days later. He thinks he’s remembering the past, but in truth, he’s writing the future. When he tries to stop writing, the Holmes he created with his words begins to disappear. The heart of the story isn’t “Who is the culprit?” but rather · If someone discovers he is a character on a page, how will he fight back? · If a writer discovers that a writer on a higher level is writing him, how will he face it? · When a story devours its storyteller, should the ending be a period or a comma?
