I Transmigrated as Six-Eared Macaque in Journey to the West, and Joined the Great Sage Against Spirit Mountain

An ordinary office worker transmigrates as the twin-born fetus of the Great Sage. He believes he is the one who will single-handedly face a hundred thousand celestial soldiers and generals, and that he was born from stone with a destined mission. All those missions were nothing more than his own fantasies. “So be it. I was only ever a little nobody. I can't become the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, so I'll find a peaceful cave abode and live out my days...” The monkey gives a self-mocking smile. But when the calamity of the Journey to the West arrives, its vast clouds of tribulation blot out the sky, and the many saints take the stage, he has already become a pawn in the Three Realms. “Six-Eared, you and that monkey are two halves of one soul. If you are willing to take its place on the journey west, seize its Dao fruit, and stop Xuanzang from reaching the west, there will be a place for you at Spirit Mountain in the Western Heaven.” The Tathagata speaks slowly. But he bursts into laughter. “Buddha, among the eighty-one trials of the journey west, is there one that includes loving someone?” “Among all the countless gods and buddhas in the heavens, is there anyone like Xuanzang, who cut off his roots of wisdom and abandoned his place among the Buddhas, all so he could descend into the turbulent mortal world and seek an answer for all living beings?”
