Military Camp: They All Say They’re Walking on Thin Ice

In his previous life, Wang Xiaolei's childhood friend, who had served in the army for several years, got married. Wang Xiaolei's father couldn't hide his envy. One question, “Do you regret it?” sent Wang Xiaolei's thoughts back to his own days in the military.

Regret it...

If only I'd fought to stay in the army back then. Then I could have kept serving just like my childhood friend.

Reborn on the eve of enlisting, and with the System's support, Wang Xiaolei swears that this time he'll become “that guy” everyone talks about.

“Today marks my seventh year in the military. I want to stay in, so this year I volunteered to train the new recruits.”

“The quality of new recruits keeps getting worse. They aren't like us back then, when we were all raring to go. What exactly we were so eager about is none of your business!”

“A new recruit told me he wanted to work overtime. I didn't think much of it. When they first enlist, their curiosity about new things drives them, but that wears off before long.”

“Something's not right. This guy got up in the middle of the night to fold his blanket. Is he putting on a show? I'll keep an eye on him!”

“Hmm... The new recruits all want me to talk the overachiever into taking a break. They want me to convince someone who's working hard to improve to stand still. I can't do that!”

“What? The new recruits all say they're walking on eggshells?”

“Squad leader, I'd like to talk to you...”

Just then, Wang Xiaolei pushed open the door and looked at his former squad leader with a serious expression.

At his words, Liu Ying closed her diary...

Damn it, me too!
