Immortals, the Republic of China, and Immortality

Lu Hang transmigrates to the Republic of China era, a world infused with cultivation, and becomes a down-and-out young master. He also gets a stock-investing app called Wanbaoshun.

Unlike on Earth, the stocks on Wanbaoshun aren’t publicly traded companies. They’re the prodigies of the Tianyuan Cultivation Realm.

“Asset restructuring” means a prodigy taking over someone else’s body. “Old-timer stocks” are sect ancestors whose prospects have run out but who pay dividends every year. “Good news” means a prodigy has stumbled upon an opportunity. “Blue chips” are the most talented prodigies in the Confucian, Daoist, Buddhist, heterodox, and other sects…

Lu Hang can invest in stocks on Wanbaoshun. Once a prodigy has cultivated to success, they pay him dividends in the form of cultivation years.

Cultivation years can be exchanged for techniques, divine physiques, Supreme Bones, Double Pupils, and other items to aid Lu Hang’s cultivation.

At first, with so few cultivation years, Lu Hang can only afford “penny stocks.” But to his surprise, he discovers that some of these stocks seem to have protagonist potential.

“Xiao Luoli: The Xiao family’s once-in-ten-thousand-years genius. She broke through to Foundation Establishment at age twenty, setting a record in the Northern Frontier Empire. But for some reason, her cultivation has recently regressed instead of advancing. She’s fallen back to the third level of Qi Refining, and her fiancé from the Yunlan Sect has come to break off their engagement. 0.01 cultivation years per share.”

“Ye Qingcheng: Born with an ordinary physique. Her older brother, who possesses an Ancient Desolate Divine Physique, was taken away by the Feather God Dynasty. She has yet to begin cultivating. 0.01 cultivation years per share.”

“Shi Xue, whose Supreme Bone was stolen,” “Tang Yanran, who awakened a useless martial soul,” “Lu Mingfei, who found the Seal of Succession to the Seer Sect…”

Looking at these penny stocks that no one else thought much of, Lu Hang goes all in, doubles down on his unrealized gains, and trades constantly.

Wanbaoshun, the most entertaining pay-to-win mobile game in the cultivation world. You deserve it…
