Lu Mingfei: If I Were a Dragon, That Would Be Fine

Lu Mingfei, eighth grade, the bottom-dwelling life-form of Shilan Middle School. His parents have vanished without a trace, and he lives with his uncle. His daily routine consists of gaming, running errands for his aunt, and sitting on the roof in a daze. Until one rainy night, he gets struck by lightning. When he wakes up, there’s a Dragon King Training System in his head, solemnly informing him: You have transmigrated to the continent of Azeroth and become a newly hatched black dragon. The problem is, Lu Mingfei looks up. The sky is still the same, and the ground is still the same. He hasn’t transmigrated at all. The System doesn’t care. The System is busy, constantly issuing him missions: · “Eat to grow”, Lu Mingfei eats a spicy snack called Big Knife Meat. System assessment: Eating complete. Lu Mingfei tries to explain, but the lousy System won’t listen. All he can do is keep dealing with the ridiculous missions while watching himself actually grow stronger day by day. Later, the girl named Xia Mi stands before him, smiling like a cat, and softly asks, “What exactly are you?” Lu Mingfei thinks it over, pulls the last pack of spicy snacks from his pocket, tears it open, and watches the red oil spread across his fingertips. “I’d like to know that myself.” The System is wrong. The world is right. But Lu Mingfei seems to have... really turned into a dragon.
