Plot synopsis of "Two Civilizations" In 2008, archaeologist Lu Tianming discovered a black dodecahedron with a side length of 30 meters fifty meters underground in the Gobi Desert. It was engraved with unreadable symbols and the material did not belong to any known element. It was deliberately buried here by the last intelligent civilization on the eve of its demise five million years ago. In 2048, two star fleets with the same technology and opposite philosophies parted ways. The gravekeeper has been silent for five million years. It had witnessed the destruction of the previous civilization in the same schism. Now, with two eyes, it looks at the same group of humans heading two different paths.
