I Am on This Shore, Not on the Other Shore

People live on this bank, across a river, looking at the other bank. On the other side are a decent job, a house of your own, a relationship that you don't have to worry about, the wrinkles on your parents' faces, and the words "live a good life." The river is called life. Young people were all wading in the river. Some people waded across, but more people couldn't. Those who couldn't get through stayed on this side and continued to live.
