Broken Color

"Broken Color" is an autobiographical short story. The protagonist can see the color of emotions in everyone. Mom's sadness is blue-gray, and dad's fatigue is grey-green. Best friends are bright orange. The girl who appeared later was grass green. The guy he met at Comic-Con was light purple. The fragments picked up on the road are light gold, old brown, and light blue. He saw many colors, except his own. He is transparent. Then his best friend left, and bright orange sank into his body. Later he was diagnosed with brain cancer himself and started to turn gray. Later, the person he fell in love with left, and the green color of the grass faded, but did not disappear. Later, he walked a lot and picked up fragments from different people. The fragments piled up on him and turned into a new color. This book does not write about "overcoming pain" or "being swallowed by pain". It writes about how a person can survive with the fragments of others and then move on. It is not an answer, it is a state - even if life is meaningless, even if those colors will eventually fade, you can still go on with them. He wanted to make sure the colors were still there. After I finished writing it, I discovered that they are indeed still there.
