Rain Through the Clouds

With a wildly contrasting comedic touch, this story opens on a fantasy adventure. While exploring the Third Heaven of the Sighing Cloud Sea, an oddball team of six, including Lu Changfeng, accidentally awakens a sentient formation-core mushroom thanks to the outrageous antics of their “lucky charm,” Yun Qianqian. After Lin Wan'er doses them with a powerful concoction called “Smiling Step Dizzy,” everyone is enveloped in pink smoke and triggers a hidden stage known as the “Red Dust Trial.” Waking from the sinister fog, Lu Changfeng finds himself in a lavish palace, with his magic treasures taken by a mysterious masked man. The man announces that they are trapped in a deadly game and must complete three tasks to escape. But when Lu Changfeng looks out the window, he sees his teammates playing cards with three winged pigs, and the battle is going disastrously. Every member of the main cast is a certified oddball with an eccentric way of doing things. The so-called “Red Dust Trial” is not a traditional fight to the death, but an absurd and farcical test. The story follows this hopeless team as they blunder their way through the trial, completing tasks, matching wits, and even battling pigs, while gradually uncovering the truth behind the hidden stage amid all the ridiculous chaos.
