Archaeological Notes from Western Hunan

While I was busy trying to make it as a junior professor, I went to Xiangxi for an archaeological dig and met a mysterious master. The little snake that had been eating my cured pork all along turned out to be a young qilin, and my grandfather was actually a member of the mysterious Di Ting Bureau. Could this mean I'm about to publish in Nature, finish my PhD, become an academician and junior professor, and make history? But while I was busy dreaming, I was hunted by some damned killers. That mysterious Di Ting Bureau? I don't want to join! I just want to lie flat!
