Counting the Odds Against the Rain

The rain is not falling, but being swallowed up. In this land controlled by the gods, human beings are nothing more than a petri dish - a rainstorm destined to perish. Xu Wujiu has seen through the truth of the world: the emotions and resistance they are proud of are just "genetic defects" engraved by the gods in their genes that cannot be repaired. Ten years ago, his parents were wiped out because of this; ten years later, he clutched three blackened copper coins and covered up the despair under this "defective" body with a ruthless air.
