In 2037 AD, at a project review meeting to determine the future, the brain-computer interface "Qiaoqi" and the exoplanet project "Mother History" competed for only 220 million yuan. One promises to allow the disabled to regain control of their bodies, and the other claims to search for the "history of Mother Earth" from distant planets. In the end, the judges gave their money to the better storyteller. No one knew that this seemingly ordinary choice would carve out two paths in human civilization: one to transform itself and try to catch up with machines; the other to fly to the stars and find a way out for mankind.
