At first, Zhang Yang did not believe in the God-Emperor. After all, he was a transmigrator who did not understand a thing about hammers. What Imperial Cult? What God-Emperor? It was the age of space, yet they were still doing this. Wasn't this Imperium just the space version of the Holy Roman Empire! That was until Zhang Yang went on his first mission as an Inquisitor apprentice. God-Emperor! I revere you! Onion! Orange! For the sake of the God-Emperor, Zhang Yang decided to become an Inquisitor. So what is the most important thing for an Inquisitor? Sniffing out and eradicating heretics? No, lending money: loans of gratitude. Although Inquisitors possess the highest authorization from the Imperium, they have no budget, and their projects are never approved. All their work depends entirely on the Inquisitors themselves. If you have the ability to get authorization, then you have the ability to acquire guns! Thus, the God-Emperor's grace can never be repaid, and his grace compounds with interest.
