Starting from Being Pulled into the Card Game

Thousands of years ago, the world experienced a large-scale reality disorder, which later generations called the "First Reading." At that time, a large number of irreconcilable facts emerged in the world: -The same person is alive and dead at the same time; -A city has two conflicting histories; -There are two victors in a war at the same time; -Some people are remembered by everyone but have no birth and death records; -Something has happened without anyone acknowledging that it happened. An unidentified card interpreter used 22 Major Arcana tarot cards to lay out 22 divine thrones in an attempt to establish a complete order for the world. 21 Of the cards were taken in sequence and turned into 21 stable rules; the rules formed a will over thousands of years of operation, and the card masters in the Outer Realm called them "gods". But in the end, the interpreter did not let "The Fool" take his seat, and the 22nd throne was always vacant. The Fool represents undefined possibility. It cannot be fixed or brought into a complete order. Therefore, the world is stabilized, but a void is forever left. The 21 rules fix the facts that can be explained, and at the same time exclude conflicting and temporarily unsolvable possibilities from reality. These possibilities should have been taken over by the "Fool", but because the Fool did not sit down, they had nowhere to belong. Eventually, they accumulated around the empty seat to form a maintenance layer sandwiched between reality and rules - the outside world.
