The Wasteland Train Departs from Shiroishi Station

Thirty-seven years after the Red Tide Storm, only wasteland, blockades and the black tide that swallowed up the settlements were left between the cities. Former railway engineering engineer Lu Heng was exiled to the soon-to-be-abandoned Baishi Station. The station contained only a scrapped locomotive, three hundred residents waiting for death, and a section of the east branch line that had been written off the timetable by the Federation. He can see the cause and effect chain behind mechanical failures, but he cannot create parts out of thin air. So he dismantled the scrap cars, repaired the boilers, grabbed the rails, restarted the signal tower, and drove the first train out of White Rock Station. When the city-state that had been closed for many years heard the whistle again, the people who monopolized the road began to hunt him down; the war intelligence in the old road network also obtained the right of way along the segment-by-section restoration of the dispatching system.
