The Anaerobic Era: Day Zero

No earthquakes, no tsunamis, no alien invasions. On an ordinary early summer afternoon, all oxygen on the earth completely disappeared out of thin air. The atmosphere loses one-fifth of its air pressure, and birds, fish, and passers-by collectively suffocate and collapse within ten seconds; steel loses its oxidation protective layer and turns into flying powder, buildings and viaducts disintegrate inch by inch; river water decomposes, vegetation dies, and all life and creation that rely on oxygen are destroyed simultaneously.
