In 2026, China built its first synthetic starch factory. In the same year, humans first detected light-speed synchronization signals between cells, but no one knew what this meant at that time. Four years later, Martian sample S-019 was brought back to Earth. The spore civilization backup carried in the sample awakened in the human laboratory. It took humans twelve years to go from "Insects behave a little strangely" to "We are facing an alien civilization." Spores don't declare war, they don't negotiate, they don't destroy - they just transform the Earth, rearranging soil, vegetation, air and nervous systems, as if renovating the entire planet. Humanity is faced with an existence that cannot be eliminated. It has existed on Earth for 2.4 Billion years. It was just passing by - and humans happened to be standing in its path. Humanity finally found a way - not to defeat it, but to make it forget who it was. But things you forget can be remembered again.
