Barcarolle

This is a fantasy sailing story in an imaginary world. The protagonist was originally just a young man in the bottom of the cave trying to survive in the cracks. He discovered his special ability since he was a child: he could hear the old ships singing and the sea beasts crooning. A sudden big explosion at sea is not the end of his life as an ant, but the real beginning of him breaking away from his fate at the bottom and getting involved in the secrets and machinations of the deep sea. Driven by the huge machine of destiny, he experienced all kinds of bloodshed, life and death, and supernatural wonders. He kept wandering dangerously among escapees, pirates, the Imperial Navy, and the Church. Along the way, he grew up to be an important helmsman of an ocean-going battleship and a high-level beast master, and he got a glimpse of the truth about the world.
